Beyond the Sand Arts Festival 2022
March 12 – 22

From March 12 to 22, the Beyond the Sand Arts Festival, formerly known as the Sand Safari Arts Festival, will convert Surfers Paradise into a beachfront gallery of colour, dance, and music for nine amazing days and nights.

The festival is free to attend, so expect to see massive artworks and beautiful sand sculptures. Additionally, there will be interactive activities and entertainment for all to enjoy.

Local circus entertainers will perform spectacular acts on the streets of Surfers Paradise. Bring the kids to Beyond the Sand to see the fantastic unicyclists, jugglers, and stilt walkers roving through the crowd.

If they’re interested, sign them up for Sand Art interactive craft activities, where they may polish their creativity and fine motor skills while making sand art. Why not join the activity as well? It is open to youngsters and the young at heart.

Aside from that, there’s a free Sand Sculpting Workshop, a Circus Workshop, Surfers Paradise

Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival 2022
May 19 – 22

Do you enjoy blues music? You will have a great time at one of Queensland’s well-known music festivals. The Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival, which began in May 2002 and continues to deliver excellent stages, is returning to its roots by assembling a lineup of musicians who represent a diverse spectrum of Blues music styles this year.

James Morrison, with his Motown Experience performance, US guitar superstar Robben Ford, and fellow American great RL Boyce, who will perform alongside Australian Blues star Dom Turner, are among the festival’s headliners. The first lineup features a diverse group of musicians, giving fans a taste of what Blues on Broadbeach 2022 has in store.

Apart from the music, participants will enjoy strolling the area packed with restaurants, cafes, and pubs to fulfil any foodie’s appetite.

Gold Coast Marathon 2022
July 2 – 3

The 42nd Village Roadshow Theme Parks Gold Coast Marathon will take place on the first weekend of July (Saturday 2 and Sunday 3) 2022 on the gorgeous Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

The Village Roadshow Theme Parks Gold Coast Marathon is a personal challenge for all ages and abilities. It could be to complete a distance, set a personal best time, raise money for a good cause, or run for fun.

The world-class international marathon features eight races, namely:

Groundwater Country Music Festival 2022
October 28 – 30

Formerly known as Broadbeach Country Music Festival, the festival began in 2013 and was renamed Groundwater Country Music Festival in 2018. Groundwater is a reflection of Australia’s distinct culture. It highlights the Australian people’s intrinsic culture of using rivers, lakes, streams, and oceans as a critical element of existence.

Visit Queensland from October 28 to 30 to immerse yourself in the culture and music. This three-day seaside event is free to attend and features top country music acts on multiple outdoor stages and venues throughout the Broadbeach area.

2022 Pan Pacific Masters Games
November 4 – 13

The highly anticipated Pan Pacific Masters Games in 2021was unfortunatley cancelled. If you’re a fan of Asia-Pacific’s biggest and best yearly masters games, don’t miss out on the 2022 event, which runs from November 4 to 13.
