Keep up to date

Gold Coast is the ‘theme park capital of Australia’. But aside from the thrilling rides and experiences these theme parks offer their visitors, the Gold Coast is filled with many other beautiful attractions perfect for families wanting some fun water adventure.

Here are three water parks you can enjoy whilst staying with us on the Gold Coast;

GC Aqua Park

There are two types of aqua parks. First is the GC Aqua Park, across from Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Broadwater Parklands, Southport. The park has a fantastic but challenging inflatable water park course. As a result, all participants must have sufficient strength, stamina, endurance, and the ability to swim in a saltwater tidal environment with depths ranging from 1 to 3 meters.

This family friendly park welcomes youngsters aged from five years old as long as they can swim! Furthermore, all children under the age of ten must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The park requires that one adult must accompany every two children.

The second is a GC Wake Park. Professionals created and tested the obstacles here, including a variety of kickers, sliders, and combo boxes for riders of all abilities. It is suitable for children aged six and up. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must ride independently.

Which GC Aqua Park your family visits is entirely up to you!

WhiteWater World

WhiteWater World, co-located with Dreamworld, is not your typical water park! It uses cutting-edge technology to create a splash that you can enjoy throughout the summer months. Although WhiteWater World is a seasonal attraction, it is still worth visiting.

It has a variety of slides for children, families, and adrenaline seekers. Let’s begin with the Children’s Slides. Wiggle Bay is about mini slides, interactive sprays, colourful water cannons, and massive instruments.

Families can experience five different attractions. Start by enjoying the waves at the ocean-like Cave of Waves, then move on to the Pipeline Plunge for another type of playground adventure. Grab the whole family and brave the SuperTubes Hydrocoaster, Temple of Huey, and The Little Rippers slides if you’re looking for a little more excitement.
WhiteWater World’s Thrill Slides may interest families with older children. Fully 6, a slide with a unique splash experience that includes twists, turns, and drops, is available. With 119 meters in height, The Bro is the world’s tallest free-falling ride. The Green Room is a gigantic swirl of fast-moving turbulence.

Do you want to enter a launch chamber and slide down? Take a ride on The Wedgie. Are you brave enough to go down a fun funnel? Both The Rip and Triple Vortex have tunnels and funnels leading to a spectacular splashdown.

Wet’n’Wild

Do you want to have an endless summer of fun? Then plan your next fun day out at Wet’n’Wild, the ideal splashtacular destination. This water park is located on Pacific Motorway in Oxenford , just 20 mins from the resort and has Australia’s largest and most extreme water slides.

Several attractions in the park are divided into three categories: Kids, Family, and Thrill.

The Wet’n’Wild Junior Precinct will be a hit with the kids. It includes kid-friendly water slides and miniature replicas of our larger thrill rides. There is also an exciting multi-level interactive play structure with a large tipping bucket at the Precinct.

The next set of attractions is ideal for families to enjoy. The H2Oasis, Calypso Beach, Giant Wave Pool, and Whirlpool Springs are great places to chill. Then ride the Double Barrel, Mammoth Falls, River Rapids, or Super 8 Aqua Racer for a thrill.

Last but not least is a section for adrenaline seekers. Aqua Loop, Black Hole, FlowRider, Kaboom, Kamikaze, SkyCoaster, Super Rider, Surfrider, and Tornado are among the water park’s attractions. These water slides are pretty extreme and exciting, as the names of the rides suggest. Do you think you’ve got what it takes to take on the challenge?

BONUS: Sea World

Now this one is a bonus as it’s only a 3 minute drive from the resort! Yes, 3 mins! The best marine animal park on the Gold Coast and a fantastic family attraction. Apart from exhilarating rides and animal exhibitions, Sea World also has a precinct where children may engage in a water battle. If you enter Sea World through the main gates, Castaway Bay is near the back of the park.

The Battle Boat Ride is one of three fantastic attractions available at Castaway Bay. Riders can board one of eight Battle Boats that cruise around a track on this thrilling aquatic adventure. Each boat is equipped with over eighty water cannons, which the riders must utilise to engage the enemy boats.

Then visit The Reef, an interactive splash zone and one of Sea World’s newest attractions. There is some shade and seating available so you may relax as the youngsters play around in the interactive splash area. It has a variety of water cannons, spouts, and life-size animal sculptures that will keep the kids entertained for hours.
